draught at the brewery. Slightly hazy amber-golden yellow, large and creamy head. Malty nose. Pleasantly malty with lovely Saaz hops and hints of caramel and toffee, some roasetd malt. Underneath there is a shy but pleasant fruityness. Well-balanced - a good one.

Bottle at the brewery tap. Deep golden, sweet malt and rye bread in the aroma, small persistent white head, light to moderate bitter/sweet flavour, watery MF, bready finish with a bitter aftertaste. O.K., almost drinkable........

Draught at the brewery tap. Cloudy, pale golden, quite stable small white head, distinctive yeasty, almost barnyardy nose with a hoppy background, light bitter/sweet flavour, light bodied as well, almost lingering hoppy and yeasty finish. Not really convincing........

On draught at the brewery tap. Deep golden, a bit unclear, sweet malty, slightly fruity nose with hoppy influences, moderate to stronger sweet flavour, medium bodied, a light trace of alcohol in the solid sweet/bitter finish. Quite a good, warming brew......

Draft at Vinarna Hrozen during RBESG 2007. A hazy golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of straw, and so is the flavor, leading to a dry bitter finish where the straw note lingers.

Draught at Vinarna Hrozen, Plzen. Actually I like this, some clean berry fruit, some good hop sting, some yeast character. Copper colour, disappearing head. It’s an ok kind of polotmavy with a decent hop sting. Bit of plastic. Actually it dies as it went on and I scored it down after the inital slug.

Bottle, Barleycorns, Nantwich. No aroma or head to speak of. A slight hint of hop, but not enough to save it. Crushingly average lager, couldn’t finish. DP man.

Draught. Deep golden colour, small white head. Leaves some lace. Aroma is wood, diacetyl and some mild notes of alcohol. Flavour is grass, alcohol, some wood and mild toffee. Overall a quite sweetish beer, but still wellbalanced in the flavour.
