Bottle picked up at Barrels & Botanicals, Turriff. It pours clear darkest brown with a thick, fluffy beige head. The aroma is sappy, oily, plenty of dried and dark fruits, cherry, plum, prunes, date, tangy, cranberry, fruit cake, black bun, toasted nut and brown bread. The taste is initially dry, wood, toasted grain, roasty, nutty, some umami, liquorice, dried berries and dark fruits, cherry, raspberry, fruit cake, light tannin, touch of spice and some faint coffee grounds with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and fine to moderate carbonation. Very pleasantly surprised here. Impressed by their first output. Has a nice depth of flavour for the style. Will revisit for sure
