Keg @ Pikkulintu Ruttopuisto, Helsinki. Poured pretty much clear and amber in color. Bready malts, red berry notes, hoppy bitterness. Dry, almost full bodied. Very bitter for a Heller bock. Rating to style if this was brewed to a Maibock would be OK, but otherwise way too hoppy/bitter.

Sample from Keg @Pikkulintu Ruttopuisto, Helsinki. Poured dark brown in color. Bready malty, notes of caramel and some sweet malts. Has a light sour touch in finish though.

Smooth, slightly toasty and earthy with some hints of roastiness, chocolate, caramel and dry bitterness. Crushable.

Slightly darker than golden, quite hazy for the style with a medium sized rather compact white head that shows good retention and excellent lacing. Quite good intensity in a relatively simple aroma: cereal malts base, hay, a pretty strong half floral half herbal hoppiness with the slightest citric hint. Taste notes follow the aroma closely, with excellent intensity for the low abv. Light sweetness, medium or slightly below medium bitterness (hoppiness is really shining against the low sweetness/low abv); balanced mouth, a pleasant, clean bittering edge in the finish. Light body, average small bubbled carbonation; super easy to drink and pretty lively. A really nice little gem!

(Keg at Pikkulintu Ruttopuisto, 20240219) The beer poured pale amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, honey, grass and mildly sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, grain, honey, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste had grass, grain, alcohols, malts and bitterness. A bit confusing brew. Aroma promised sweeter but the flavours were rather dry. The alcohol was too strong at the finish.

(Keg at One Pint Pub, 20240219) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had malts, molasses, grass and caramel. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, toasted malts, molasses, caramel and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, toasty and bitter. The finish turned pleasantly dry. The sweetness didn't disappear completely but well enough so that the next sip didn't feel like drinking treacle.

(Draught at Hostomická Nalévárna, Prague, 23 July 2023) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with notes of bread, cereal, hay and grass. Malty, hoppy taste with bread, grain, hay and a balanced herbal bitterness. Light body, quite dry. Tasty and refreshing. Quite nice.
