50cl pours a cola brown with a ring of beige head. Huge spice nose, cloves, all spice, booze, figs, dates, malt and candy sugar. Flavor is the same. Less estery which makes it easier to drink. Light spice on the boozy finish. 7 7.5 8 7 7.5

Light lime, plum. Maybe some hint of roast. Kind of more towards a weizenbock or Belgian in flavour than a doppelbock. Clear maroon pour without head. Light tangy finish, a hint of sweetness. Pretty decent, even of off style a bit. Maybe needs rebranding as doppelweizenbock. Tap at Leesburg Waters End.
