Imperial Cave Stout from Wabasha Brewing Company

On tap at Happy Gnome. Pours black with a creamy light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has dark grains with a light roast and a bit of earthy coffee. Flavor has more of a dark chocolate note with dark grains and a slightly earthy roasted malt note.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of bitter pine and citrus rind with a sweet grain backbone. Flavor is full of bitter citrus rind with a touch of pine and a sweet creamy backbone.

Samples from the tap at the brewery. Pours a near clear amber with an orange hue and an off white head that dissipates completely. Aroma has a bit of sweet cherry with bread and grain backing. Flavor has bread and grain throughout with a hint of cherry underlying.

Sampled from the tap from the brewery. Pours a dark brown with a grayish brown head that dissipates to the edges quickly. Aroma has roasted malts and earthy dark grains with a touch of mustiness. Flavor has a nice roasted malt note with bitter dark grains and a hint of coffee.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear golden orange with an off white head that dissipates to the edges. earthy grass and a touch of earthy citrus backed by bread. Flavor has earthy grain and bitter citrus with some grass underlying.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has mild grass and citrus hops with a bit of light grain underlying. Flavor has a nice bitter citrus and light pine note with a bit of bread backing.
