Limitierte Auflage für 2020. Sehr helle Farbe. Ziemlich viel Kohlensäure die sich da im Glas austobt. Aromatisch, fruchtiger Geruch. Ebenfalls sehr fruchtiger, angenehm trockener Geschmack. Nuancen von Sekt sind erkennbar. Mit weniger Kohlensäure und mehr Stammwürze wäre das ein Topweizen. So ist das eher ein alkoholhaltiges Erfrischungsgetränk - wenn auch ein recht interessantes und schmackhaftes.

500ml bottle. Clear, mahogany colour with wonderful, deep ruby shimmer, and small to average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, sulphureous head. Sweet-ish, dark malty aroma, notes of malt lozenge, some caramel, a touch of rock sugar. Taste is rather dry, minimally sweet dark malty, notes of malt lozenge, hints of dark caramel, rock sugar; dry finish. Watery-creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, very fine, soft carbonation. Typical Bavarian Dunkel (malt lozenge dominated rather than roasty or chocolately) with well curbed sweetness. Nice.

500ml bottle. Clear, yellow-ish golden colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy, strawy, pale malty aroma. Taste is minimally sweet pale matly, slightly strawy, subtle malty spiciness, weak hoppy overtones with a grassy and even subtle citrusy touch. Watery texture, minimally metallic palate, prickly carbonation. Clean, simple, quite refreshing - OK.

Taste is minimally sweet, strawy pale malty, slightly bitter, minimally grassy hoppy, minimally metallic overtones. Watery texture, slightly dry palate, minimally coarse, prickly carbonation. Simple, refreshing, nice subtle sweetness - OK.

Sweet-ish, wheaty malty and yeasty fruity, minimally yeasty spicy aroma, notes of banana, dried banana, a touch of papaya, some clove, a touch of banana leaves, fruity hoppy overtones with a touch of melon, lemon, washing-up liquid with lemon adjunct. Taste is yeasty fruity, sweet-ish, wheaty malty, diluted hints of banana, a touch of clove, fruity, minimally citrusy hoppy overtones with a touch of lemon and melon. Watery texture, slightly coarse, prickly carbonation. Light, but too sweet to be really refreshing. OK.

330ml bottle. Minimally milky, yellow-ish golden colour with small to average, frothy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, snow-white head. Slightly grainy, husky, mellow malty aroma, a yeasty fruity touch of apricot, whiffs of honey, minimally muggy overtones. Taste is sweet, grainy, minimally strawy, pale malty, minimally yeasty fruity, a touch of apricot, ephemeral, ammonia-like interference. Oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, a bit coarse, macropore, prickly carbonation. Too sweet, not so well crafted. So-so.

500ml can from an Advent Calendar, drank on 30th Dec 2019 while in California. Light golden body, clean, clear and bright, on top a full snow white blanket of foaming bubbles. Malty/grainy nose and initial taste, semi-sweet in nature overall, some light hop bitterness late on. Mild metallic twang sadly as it warmed in the glass.

500 ml from the Kalea Advent calendar. Aroma is grassy, sweet malts, buttery. Pours fairly clear golden with little particulates floating around underneath a two finger cream-white head with excellent retention and lace. Taste is moderately bittersweet with grassy flavors. Not too bad.
