Description
Careful, now it's getting romantic! For us at ueberquellbeer is not an exchangeable mass product, but something very serious and real and genuine and truly special. Because it's something brewed by people, not machines. Because in contrast to all the ultra-modern equipment, people have a little more passion to brew passionately. And the prettier hands too. Now, if you're wondering if all this has happened was what our breweries are all about, we can announce full of hops and malt: We brew our bottles at our friends of Schnitzlbaumer in Traunstein. Of course according to our recipes, on the identical plant and under the keen eye of our master brewer. The on-site brewery has 7 tanks, where we produce our core range.

Bottle: Deep golden with an orangey sheen, cloudy, small and slowly collapsing off-white head; mild to moderate lemony-yeasty aroma, some grains floating around; mild to moderate bitter flavour with a very well hidden residual sweetness, pretty light bodied, not pretty soft; slightly lingering dryish - but thinnish, too - bitter citrussy finish. A thirst-quencher, not very demanding...

Orange from the bottle with a foamy, sudsy off white head. Drank it a bit too warm. Aroma is full of mandarine but with strong caramel undertones. Malt forward up front, sweet and full of caramel. Turns dry and finishes with a lingering citric bitterness. Medium body, a bit chewy though, and with a slight warmth at the end. Good.

Draught, 6.2% at the brewpub. Roasted aroma, hint of slightly sweet liquorice. Black colour. Seems unclear with a reddish shine. Stable medium-sized tan head. The flavour starts off roasted but turns surprisingly creamy and slightly sweet. Full mouthfeel, especially for the style. Not thin like most dry stouts. So, not to style, but good.

Draught at the brewpub. Good clovey aroma. Cloudy golden colour. Very big stable creamy white head. The flavour is refreshingly citric and lemony. Does not have as much clove as the aroma suggests, but it is still nice.
