On nitro at the brewery. Pours dark brown, with a big, foamy, tan head. The aroma is bitter coffee, chocolate malt, and acidic earth. Sweet and malty, with a mild earthy bitterness and a touch of unintended tartness. Medium body, chalky, chewy, and clean. Not a bad stout, but it’s missing something...

Sampled at the brewery. Pours a clear, pale yellow, with a big, fluffy, white head. The first smell is amazingly like salsa. There are notes of salt, corn chips, jalapeno, and celery. Sweet flavor, with a bit of spice. Light body, with a smooth and acidic mouthfeel. This is focused, and manages to hit not just the salsa character, but the chips, too! I couldn’t manage a pint, though...

On tap at the brewery. Pours clear, pale yellow, with a big, foamy, white head. The aroma is light wheat, a bit of bubblegum, straw, and light juniper. Sweet and yeasty, with a very light hoppiness. Light body, crisp, refreshing, and a bit clingy. This is a light and refreshing weizen, and reasonably well done, but it doesn’t have much of the yeast character, so it’s a little simple.

Pint at the brewery. Pours a clear, copper color, with a medium, creamy and bubbly head. The nose is caramel, toffee, mango, pineapple, and resin. Sweet and malty at first, with a smooth, lovely bitterness that grows through the finish. Medium body, creamy, smooth, and clean. This is a wonderfully aromatic and very well balanced IPA. Thoroughly enjoyable, and assertive enough to pair well with the pizza.

On tap in a flight at the brewery. Pours clear, dark bronze, with a grey ring. Rye and whole grains dominate the aroma, with some notes of earthy hops and light spice. Sweet and malty, with a light, pleasant bitterness. Light to medium body, creamy, and malty. This is a pretty good, light, malt bomb. The hopping is pleasant and subtle, and perfect for the style.

On tap at the brewery in a flight. Nice, ruby tinted brown color, with a small, tan head and good lacing. The nose is caramel and cocoa, with some light anise, dried bananas, nutmeg, and molasses. Sweet and malty, with a bit of savory spice and a very light bitterness. Medium to heavy body, syrupy, and clean in the finish. This is a really nice, big, brown ale, but lacks the depth and complexity of a real Belgian ale. Still, a solid and tasty beer.

On tap in a flight at the brewery. Hazy, pale yellow color, with a thin, creamy, off-white head. The nose is lemon juice, light raspberries, a touch of salt, and wheat. Sweet, with a pretty aggressive tartness. Light body, creamy, lightly acidic, and sticky. This is a pretty solid gose, subtly fruited to add a little character.
