Fruity, sour, tart, not too sweet. Stale strawberries, red currant, vanilla. Unfortunately the strawberry isn't working for me, otherwise not bad.

‘Candy sour’ from Sweden, flavoured with four different fruits (strawberry, raspberry, blueberry and blackcurrant); can from Beergium labelled “Gottegris”. Foamy, lilac-pink, thickly moussy, membrane-lacing, stable head, murky deep purple-burgundy robe with brownish-ruddy hue. Aroma of strawberry and raspberry ice cream (but in an artisanal, not too artificial way so still coming across as from real fruit), cassis, less of the blueberry but still recognizable, fruit yoghurt, lemon juice, freshly cut cucumber, sourdough, green tree leaves, chalk. Tart onset, lots of sour berry effects with raspberry sourness and flavour being very prominent; blueberry – contrary to what the nose suggests – also very ‘palpable’, cassis and strawberry flavours are a bit more subdued at least initially. Spritzy, sharp carbonation accentuating the acidity, but remaining tolerable and not too puckering at all; cereally malt core deeply soaked in the sourness and fruitiness of the berries, blackcurrant and strawberry becoming more obvious in the end (retronasally in particular) but their sweetness remains clearly subordinate to lactic and fruity acidity. Sour, drying finish but the generous fruitiness of this beer keeps the acidity elegant and refreshing till the last drop; a vague chalky note appears in the end, surfing on a bit of sourdoughy maltiness, but the fruits remain absolutely dominant. Based on what is printed on the can, I was expecting a pastry sour sweetened with lactose or something along those lines, but this is another fruited kettle sour, a Florida Weisse of sorts, packed with fruit in a good way. Not my preferred style of beer but certainly more than decent for what it intends to be, and better than expected to be frank.

tall slim can. Interesting design. aroma is flowery and slightly artificial, chemicalic. flavor is crisp malty, sort of artificial hoppy, a little watery. there is an aftertaste that is slighlty bitter and herbal.

Can 33 cl. Fizzy out of the can. Pours a hazy, orangey pink with an off-wite head. Fresh, distinct raspberry nose. Very light body, tart and dry again with very distinct raspberry. Pretty straight and refreshing rapberry Berliner. 020222

can. 4.5% as gottegris BBF 2021-11-30 aroma is tons of cherries, blue berries, raspberries. berries galore. base aroma of sour berries. hazy red with a giant very beautiful smooth pink head. flavor is surprisingly sour with strong notes of berries and fresh berries and berry juice. In fact, tastes a lot more like a fresh berry juice, than a beer. You can get hints of the berliner weisse beer flavor in there, but it is well drowned out by (good, fresh) berry juice. imagine having a fresh unsweetened berry juice or berry smoothie, then add a meaningful dose of salty sourness like you would find in a good berliner weisse.. that's this beer. I must say, tastes really good. I was fearing it would be too sweet, but it is not at all. very refreshing. oh, btw. it does not taste aged whatsoever, fresh as new. so the bbf date is way off - this could probably stay a year more no problem.
