Draft at The King’s Head in Portland, Maine. The pour is a hazy orange with a one inch well formed foamy white head, which falls with lace. The aroma is tangerine fruit along with some peel, rind and a general creaminess. The taste is a bright resin, tangerine peel and the hazy creamy towards the back. The palate is medium bodied with an unfiltered mouth feel and the sweet tangerine fruit and cream to the finish. Solid hazy.

Aroma is mango, orange and soft herb. I shall say, Goodfire beers always taste as they smell. No surprise here. Flavor is exactly the same as the aroma. Again, balanced between fruit and herb. Easy to drink. Hidden alcohol. However, was searching for something to make it pop.

16 oz can. Aroma is lime, orange with soft bready malt. Pilsner malt backbone with the same fruits in the aroma. It does end on some bitter pine needles. The balance is pretty good. About average for the style.

Can from CBC Liquors - Westford. Cloudy light brown-dark yellow with lots of small floaties, nice sparkle, thin head with decent retention and nice, soapy lacing. Aroma is strong dank pineapple rind, citrus, pine, brown sugar. Taste follows aroma exactly. Smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation and piney/malty finish. Enough hops and malt to cover the alcohol.

Can from CBC Liquors, Westford (probably has some age on it, given the distance from the eclipse last Spring). Opaque orange juice with trace sparkle, some dark floaties, thin head and nice soapy lacing. Aroma is malty-caramel, unfinished wert-y quality, mild lemon. Taste is caramel, weak citrus-lemon, mild diacetyl? Smooth, soft texture and carbonation, finish as taste. With no packaged date, took a risk on this one and lost. Even if brewers don't date their beer (and not sure why they want product on shelves NOT representing it well), beer stores that profess to be knowledgeable, well curated beer should not put old IPA's on shelves representing as fresh.
