Bottle at CBJ Tasting. Dark and glossy. No head. Aroma combines dark fruit and doughy edge with a boozy edge. Flavourwise it's more chewy. Sour fruit and molasses and fruitcake. Medium. Oily. Soft-average carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Yo.

Novel stuff. Pretty rich, hearty barrel character. Some musty leather, old berries. So so.

Bottle share at CBJ. Thanks to Wingman. Just a very mild haze on this brown beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Soft palate, mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth malts, a little cream. Mild vanilla. Modest bourbon soaked ripe fruits. Airy and semi dry finish. Lacks any malt depth but, decent.

Bottle share at CBJ. Thanks to me. Pretty much an opaque dark brown beer, a few dark tan bubbles. Airy palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Airy dark malts, a little chocolate, not too much, this is a barleywine innit? Caramel underneath. Vanilla. Nice fruity apple brandy runs over the top of everything. The spices come through on the back end and linger long into the aftertaste. Nice beer. Not that barleywine though, just a nice flavoursome brew.

Upside down label. Aromas are dark malt, lots of roast, and a little toffee. Flavors are similar to nose and a bit sweet. Thin body and okay carbonation. A little astringent.
