Draught @ Milk & Hops - Chelsea. Slightly cloudy golden yellow with small whitish foamy head, piney hops aroma, medium carbonation, medium bitter taste with citrus peel flavor, thin body, medium bitter finish. Decent brew, nothing spectacular though.

Draught @ Milk and Hops. Inky black with creamy beige head, mocha aroma, medium carbonation, bitter coffee taste with some chocolate, alcohol undertones, thick body, long bitter chocolate finish. Good enough to eat!

Draft at Cooper's, Chelsea. Dark brown pour with a thin light brown head and mid-heavy lacing. Dry, roasty coffee on the aroma and flavor. Very smooth, dry feel. Drinks great. ABV is there, but very subtle. Really enjoyable.

Draught @ The Half Pint. Opaque dark brown with smallish foamy beige head, faint caramelized malt aroma with a bit of citrus peel, medium carbonation, medium bitter mocha taste with citrus peel flavor, smooth body, medium finish. Decent black IPA.

Alewife, Queens tap: pours hazy light orange with a white head. Aroma is grapefruit and juicy fruits. Taste is a tad bitter. It be very juicy. Nice aftertaste. Quite nice.

Draft at Beer Culture, 12/1/16. Unclear orange pour with heavy beige lacing. Resin / pine, herbal notes, and some earth. Bit of grains and spice. Soft carbonation, dry, tingly finish. Nice beer.

Draft at Milk and Hops Chelsea. Hazy orange color with an off white head and some drippy, spotting lace. Rye/spice, some citrus, pine, and herbal hops. Average carbonation, tingly, fairly dry. Highly drinkable.

Draught at the Ginger Man, Manhattan on 10/9/16.
I wonder about the Ginger Man, because it’s very surprising that the four hoppy beers I got in this sampler were very underwhelming, only one being good. Would expect all four to at least be good or better. Maybe the Ginger Man just doesnt get many beer geeks so anything that’s not super popular just sits and dies?
Anyways, this pours a clear, flaxen-gold with a foamy white head showing moderate retention.
Pretty subtle nose, to be nice about it, which has some dry, cracker-like malts, peppery hops and very light melon and nectarine. Nothing wrong with it, per se, but it’s certainly very, very light.
In the mouth, it’s got a malty, dry texture with ample carbonation and light cantaloupe, wood and dried leaf notes. Some light bitterness and a touch of sourdough-like character (yeast?) on the end.
