Draught @ Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2023 (MBCC). Let the MBCC madness begin. Sweet and slightly roasty with some nice barrel notes, vanilla, syrup and hints of honey.

473ml can. Murky, dark yellow-ish to orange, golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Slightly restricted, not overly intense, tropical fruity and slightly citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of orange peel, passion fruit, oaty malty background. Taste is tropical fruity and slightly citrusy fruity hoppy, slightly acoholic, hints of passion fruit, orange peel; lingering, zesty, bitter hoppy and slightly alcoholic finish. Creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, prickly carbonation. Relatively restricted fruit flavours of lower intensity, almost a tad monotonous; slightly too alcoholic as well - not that impressive.

Draft at MBCC 2023, Green session. Poured almost black in colour with little life. The aroma is roasty malt, chocolate, fudge, vanilla. The flavour is strong sweet, with a smooth, rich, oily, roasty, chocolate, liqourice, warm alcohol bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Draft at MBCC 2023, Green session. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a big lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt and lager yeast. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a light, crisp, yeasty, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with carbonation.

On tap at MBCC 2023, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out deep roasted malt, spices and whiskey barrels. Flavour is rich and viscous, with intense whiskey barrels, gentle spices, and medium roast. Complex and rich but my favourite notes. Decent.
