Description
Temporal Artisan Ales is a brewing project that is crafting delicate oak-aged beers in a shared space at Luppolo Brewing Company in Vancouver, BC. The beers we create are fermented 100% in our oak barrels over lengthy periods of time, imparting delicate complexity. Portions of separate barrels are blended to enhance specific characteristics unique to each barrel. Every beer we release has been meticulously crafted from start to finish.

Dark brown colour, no head. Aroma of almonds, pear, alcohol, brown sugar. Flat mouthfeel, no carbonation; the body is a bit weak, compared to expectations, it's not too far from a strong Belgian Ale in this, but the brandy is accentuating this weakness; brandy feeling, and finally some apple brandy flavour too.
Good.

330mL bottle, pours jet black with a tiny tan head. Aroma brings out lots of smoked whiskey barrels, bourbon, rum, and peated malt. Flavour is full of peated malt, bourbon, whiskey, and medium roast. Smoky, peaty and gently sweet. Good stuff — better than C.R. Novum — but the base beer is still a bit lacking.

330mL bottle, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out gentle rum, medium roast and some muddled earthiness. Flavour is full of roasted malt, soft but complex rum, light vanilla and some dark sugars. Medium-bodied, with dark sugars and rum on the finish. Good but lacking complexity and depth.

Bottle shared at MBCC ‘23. Poured a mostly clear medium brown colour with little life. The aroma is rich boozy alcohol, toffee caramel. The flavour is strong sweet, with a smooth, rich, caramel, toffee, big fudge, warm boozy alcohol bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Bottle, many thanks mcberko! Brown, dark amber color with beige head. Aroma is big raisins, vanilla, port, figs, burnt sugar. Taste is raisins, caramel, pretty sweet, burnt sugar again, and nectary, nice balance despite the sweetness. Lovely!

Leftovers from the 330ml (thx, Ryan!) @ Alex's. Appearance: brown with almost no head. Aroma: brandy barrel, some dark fruits, sweetness, and meaty notes 😑 Taste: lots of apple brandy, apple is really noticeable, moderately sweet, butterscotch, finiahed with a bit of meaty notes. Overall: pretty good.
