50 cl bottle @ Timo A, BBE 25.02.2013
Aroma has grainy malt, some vegetables and , hints of caramel and distant cardboard notes. Flavour is light with grainy malt, some resiny hops and hints of berries. Does not feel like amber ale – or ale at all. Could be (a light ) bitter though.

(bottle) Clear, amber to copper colour with a medium-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Cara-malty and herbal and slightly metallic hoppy notes with traces of citrus in the background. Bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied with a crisp carbonation. Mildly cara-malty base with traces of black tea, accompanied by herbal hops; slim but not watery herbal hoppy finish with delicately fruity notes in the aftertaste. Likeable, but not outstanding. Reminds of a light Altbier. 16.XI.12

500ml bottle. Hazy orangey golden colour with average, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, white head. Fruity and spicy aroma with an ester touch, banana, apple, pear, laurel, a peppery touch, a tart note. Taste is initially tart, yeasty, minimally biting/prickling peppery, later with mealy banana undertones, muggy wheaty, slightly alcoholic; prickling carbonation with a sourish effect. Slightly unbalanced.

bottle from Bierzwerg. How unusal for the German beer scene, a top-fermented beer with only 3.8% abv. Looks lovely in the glass, chestnut-golden colour with a dense and creamy white head. Hoppy aroma with a touch of citrus fruit. Light-bodied yet full of flavour: good and clean malty base with hints of dark malts and a touch of lemony hops. Very, very nice.

Fruity banana aroma. Taste is really balanced and clean. Nice malt taste with some subdued banana. Really easy drinking.
