Description
A young brewery out of Digbeth, Birmingham, Dig Brew Co have quickly established themselves as ones to watch, not just in Birmingham but the UK and beyond. The micro-brewery is the brainchild of Mad O'Rourke's owner Peter Towler and cocktail expert Oliver Webb.

Cask at the Plough, Harborne. Pours hazy gold with a medium head. Aroma is grassy lime and vanilla. Taste has sweet straw to start. Grassy hoppy finish. Vanilla aftertaste.

Keg at the Paper Duck, Harborne. Pours very dark brown with a small head. Aroma is dry roast, coffee and cocoa. Taste has dry roast throughout with a light cocoa finish.

It's basically slightly sour juice. It nails the flavours, but it's not really a beer I'd go back to.

Keg at the dockside tap. Pours purple, nose is blueberry, creamy, taste is juicy berry, sweet, fruity.

Can. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour. Pretty light palate, reasonable fine carbonation. A light and sweetish malt base. Piney citrus, slightly sweet. Nice underpin of tropical fruits. Little spicy hop on the finish. Easy and reasonably satisfying dipa but I wanted a bit more hop weight.

Can from Strichley wine and spirits. West mids no.5 Pours hazy orange. Fruity nose. Tastes lightly sour, juicy, loads of citruses, lasting sour and bitter feel. Very good.
