Description
Bear Claw is a small brewery in Berwick-upon-Tweed that focuses on fermentation in oak.

All our beers are fermented in ex-wine barrels.

We barrel-age some of our beers, but our main vibe is the use of oak barrels as a standard fermentation vessel. All of our pale ales, IPAs, stouts, saisons etc are served mild after around 4-6 weeks conditioning.

We rarely bottle or can our beers, mostly they're served draught in the brewery on our open days.

Taste - bread and butter pudding, tangy dried lemon finish. Palate - rich and medium bodied with a fairly dry tangy middle section and finish. Overall - good, but could be tangier and drier on the finish.
