Description
The birth of Reids Gold Brewing Company happened back in 2013 after a craft beer home brew kit was given as a Christmas present to its founder Barry Reid. Little did he know then how far his passion/obsession would take him.
In April 2018 Reids Gold Brewing Company made its first sale to trade and have been growing ever since. The vision will be to move to a larger facility one day, once we are able to do so but will be keen to stay in our local area.
We are dedicated to the craft beer industry and love everyone in it. We now have some great relationships with other local breweries and businesses and are so grateful for the support we keep getting. We want people to relate to us and understand that we are here for you guys first as with out you all we are nothing.

Bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours darkest brown to black with a frothy khaki head. The aroma is earthy roast, charred wood, umami, warming spice, dried fruits, fruit cake, raisin, toasted brown sugar and cacao. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy roasted malt, umami, liquorice, warming spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, cacao, liquorice, rocky road, fruit cake, charred wood, and just a touch of alcohol. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Better than expected. Maybe bottles are better than the crowlers.

Bottle from WSS. It pours slightly hazy gold with a decent foamy white head. The aroma is sweet and tropical, Pina colada, pineapple, banana, creaminess, marshmallow, peaches & cream. The taste is soft, bitter - sweet, creamy, banana split, Pina colada, tinned peach & mango, creaminess and some grain with a sweet, fruity finish. Average body and fine carbonation. Novel, but a bit sweet perhaps.

Bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours clear yellowy - gold with a frothy white head. The aroma is toasty grain, cereal, soft fruity vibes, lychee, watermelon, orange peel and bubbelgum. The taste is crisp, dryish, bitter - sweet, baked goods, sweet bready action, cereal, bubblegum, marmalade sandwiches, grass and a touch of spice with a drying finish. Average body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Some nice nuances to it. Drinks well.

Bottle from Westhill Service Station. Opens with a slow gush... It pours hazy orange with a few floaters and a fizzy white head. The aroma is earthy, funky, sweet - sour, cherry pulp, woody, earthy, damp leaves, touch of cherry jam and leather. The taste is initially drying and earthy, funky, musty, leather, light tannin, mouldy basement, tart and puckering, sour cherry and some lemon rind with a dry, funky finish. Medium body and moderate+ foamy / fizzy carbonation..more funk and damp wood than I was expecting, but it works fine.

Bottle from Strong Water. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of spring onion and grain. Flavour of pithy hops and sea salt. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Light fizz. An interesting Lager with a savoury edge.
