Panda at home, thanks to Graham Grumbo, 14/09/24. Washed out orange with little in the way of a head ... a rare 2 for appearance ... a very uninviting looking beer! Nose is orange zest, grass, melon, soft malts, sweet edged tropical fruit esters. Taste comprises bitter orange, grass, herb, astringent notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with modest hop bitterness. Comes across a little amateurish on a number of fronts.

Panda at home, thanks to Graham Grumbo, 21/07/24. Chestnut brown with a beige cap that veers to the edge. Nose is nutty, bourbon biscuit, toffee, sugars, dark malts. Taste comprises dried fruits, brown bread, sugar coated, toffee, dried fruits, cherry cola. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Way too sweet and lacking balance ... Kvass like in some respects.

28/6/2024. Bottle bought at Bang-On Brewery, Bridgend. Pours clear dark golden with a small frothy white head. Aroma is worty, malty, twiggy, grains. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Light body, watery, average carbonation. Rough finish. Not good.

28/6/2024. Bottle bought at Bang-On Brewery, Bridgend. Pours clear dark brown with a small frothy beige head. Aroma is lightly roasted, cakey, black forest gateaux, nutty, black cherry. Medium sweetness, light to moderate bitterness, slight sour fruit notes. Moderate body, slightly creamy, soft carbonation. Quite nicely done.

28/6/2024. Bottle bought at Bang-On Brewery, Bridgend. Pours clear pale gold with a frothy white head. Aroma is grainy, lemon, grassy, lemongrass. Moderate sweetness, quite bitter, slightly tart. Moderate body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, foamy carbonation. Not bad.

Medium sweetness, light to moderate bitterness and body. Oily watery, average to soft carbonation. Quite drinkable.

Aroma is sweet, fruity, cherry, caramel, brown sugar, maltloaf, date, nut, touch of cinnamon biscuit. Quite heavy sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, very oily, average carbonation. Very sweet finish. An interesting one.
