440ml can from Craft and Berry, Sheffield - Cola coloured body, no head. Bready aroma, some caramel. Initially sweet with lots of dark fruit and malt loaf on the tongue, sit of yeast. Low carbonation but decent amount of oiliness.

Can at home in Hackney - sourced from Caps and Taps. Pours clear brown with a fading, foamy khaki head. Moderately sweet, with nice stewed dark fruits, some toasted toffee, brown bread, candi sugar, Belgian yeast, plum. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish, more dark fruits, berries, figs, toffee. Lovely character. Highly drinkable.

440ml can from Craft and Berry, Ecclesall Road Sheffield - Solid pale orange body, rocky white foam top. Nose has big citrus punch, heady whiff of summer stone fruits. Slightly sweetened in the taste, more citrus and fruity bitter end. Nice.

Can, picked up at the brewery. This is so easy drinking I think I’ve poffed a dozen or so in a week. Bright, yellow gold. Light haze. Fine white head is lasting and semi lacing. A little leggy, too. Nose has clean, lemony, bready grain. Lots of herbal, spicy hop leaf. Touch of leathery brett. Some fruited tea loaf. Taste has a soft, fruity, floral sweetness, balanced out with that bretty, lemon thing. Medium body. Stays clean and bright. Fine carbonation. Light hop bitterness to finish. Great now, and if I have the willpower to hang on to a few, I reckon there’s plenty to see here.

Can, picked up at the brewery. Packaged yesterday. Fully opaque gingery orange. Fairly dense white head is lasting, and lacing. Nose has ripe citrus. Sweet summer berry. Ripe and estery peach. Fruity and bready yeast. Taste has a light sweetness, with a citrus peel bitterness. Smooth on the palate, with some hop oiliness, and fine carbonation. Moderate bitterness to finish. Hop sodden, easy drinking pale.

Can, picked up at the brewery, lockdown style. The first beer Dann has been happy with right from the off. Nose has dark chocolate truffle. Bread crust. Hint of the orange peel. Touch of old leather. Some cigar leaf. Taste is pretty sweet, with a milky coffee vibe, and some yeasty, burnt crusty bread bitterness. Smooth on the palate with fine carbonation. Some stickiness on the lips, although it dries and gets lightly bitter towards the finish. Great beer.

Can in the garden, heat wave pre BBQ, 9th May 2020. Even my wife liked this one, so had to share it. Poured with a huge white growing head, mostly clear beer. Aroma is light floral and spice, bready. Taste is floral, spice and coconut, sweet notes, yeast, bread, nice hops, almost an IPL. Would have liked more bitterness, but it’s a very interesting beer.

Can at home picked up from HB&B. An attractive translucent golden orange coloured pour with a fading white loose head. Aroma is lovely, melon, papaya, guava, with a little hot tarmac, juicy. Flavour is composed of soft fluffy wheat, spicy citrus, lemon rind, pineapple, little chalk , corn in the finish. Palate is light and fluffy, little chalky, highish carbonation. Good.

Can at home in Hackney - sourced from HB&B. Pours hazy orange-gold with a frothy, pure white head. Lovely stuff, lots of fresh and juicy tropical fruit character, melon, tangerine, subtle bitterness, a nip of salt, some dank edges. Medium bodied with supple texture and fine carbonation. Moderately sweet to finish, more tropical fruits, big mango, melon, supportive pale bread. Pillowy, juicy. Lovely stuff.
