Keg at Brewdog Tower Hill, London. A dark brown coloured pour with a medium off white/beige head on top. Roasty, malty, caramel, dark fruit aroma and taste. Not a bad effort.

Keg at BD Tower Hill. Floral and caramel edged malty aroma. Glossy opaque dark brown. Thick creamy beige head. Sour edged sweetness. Underlying coffee bitterness that gradually asserts itself. Light-medium bodied. Creamy (low fat consistency). Relatively abrupt finish. I drank it. It's fine.

Can, picked up at the brewery. Also multiple pours at the brewery. Medium gold, with a faint haze. Thick, fully lacing, lasting, white head. Nose has sweet and lightly spicy malt. Whiff of smoke. Grassy hop. Privet leaf. Taste is on the sweet side, with just a moderate, leafy bitterness. Light to medium body. Fairly oily. Foamy carbonation. Stays a little sweet on the finish, with more leafy bitterness. Decent variation on Donbacher, but quite a bit sweeter, and for me a tad less chuggable.

Keg at the Hanging Bat. Pours hazy dark brown with a cream-coloured head. Aromas of liquorice, toffee, vanilla. Taste is toffee, burnt roast, vanilla fudge, light fruity notes on the finish.

Can on the Bootle Brush, thanks to Gary for picking this up, 08/12/19. Lightly hazed golden amber with a decent off white cap. Nose is stewed fruits, straw, caramel, light sugars, hint of booze. Taste comprises fruit cake, caramel, sugars, gentle alcohol, prunes, sweet malts, subtle yeast esters. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising boost level offered. Solid triple ... flavoursome allied to not being too sweet or boozey.

Can on the Bootle Brush, thanks to Dave, 08/12/19. Murky chestnut brown with a decent beige covering. Nose is stewed fruits, brown sugar, toffee, earthy. Taste comprises brown bread, toffee, leather, earthy, dried fruits, brown sugar, candied fruit. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, light warming alcohol at the curtain call. Decent boosty mild.

Can from Eltham Wines. Blood orange coloured pour with a white head. Peach, orange peel, pink grapefruit nose. Bitter citrus flavours, lots of bitter hop. Zesty bitter finish.
