On tap @ CBM Mainz 2018. Floral earthy nose. The beer starts mild with grainy parts, refreshing with a moderate bitterness. Smooth mild in the aftertaste, hints of grain, floral earthy with the hops and a long earthy moderate bitter grainy aftertaste.

"Hopfengarten Hopfen Dolde", 4,8 %, Flasche (33 cl) direkt von der Gärtnerei/Brauerei. - Hellgelb, schwach trüb; schöner Schaum. - In der Nase vornehme, knackig-trockene Pampelmusenherbe und zartes Cracker-artiges helles Malz mit feiner Süße. - Antrunk schlank und vornehm zitrusfruchtig mit herber Pampelmuse. Zartes, ganz leicht salzig wirkendes helles Malz. Gut rezent, schlank, trocken. Im Abgang nicht sehr wuchtige aber aromatisch harzige Hopfenherbe. Langer bitterer Nachtrunk. - Sehr frisch wirkendes, zart hefiges Pilsener, dem man die frisch gepflückten Hopfendolden anmerkt. Leichter und weniger komplex als das Vorbild von Keesmann.

Glass at hopfengarten. Pale yellow, light haze, big fine white head. Smell is floral. Aroma of flowers, mint, lemon, eucalyptus backed by grainy malts, I think wheat, bread and some yeast. Very refreshing and balsamic, initially reminded me of Belgian gruutbier as hops profile is thin to a grassy note. Nice one though in the heat of today.

Tap at the garden during their hopfenfest. Malty nose, biscuts, citrus hops. Fruity and biscuity, rich, bready malts and pretty nice citrus hops but a bit sweet and heavy compared to the pilsner. Still nice.

Tap at the garden during their hopfenfest. Lemony, herbal nose, nice mlat background. Good balance, fruity, citrus hops. Tasty and my favorite of their beers. Crisp pils with big hops.
