First time to sample this beer following first visit to brewpub. I'll jump into it. 8 oz pour, they are considerably proud of the brew price-wise. Dark amber-red in color, impenetrable by view. It smells of ripe plum, grain and earth. The taste is initially, curiously, strong spice, perhaps nutmeg, along with red fruit, grain and dark raisins. Interesting approach to the style, not really my thing.
