Description
Stopped brewing in autmn 2023, beers brewed by owner Einbecker since then.
The current brewing factory in Peine has been associated with the name Härke since 1890. At that time Ernst Härke bought the former Rauls'sche brewery and gave it its name in 1907. The headquarters are located in a listed building right in the heart of Peine. Thanks to ongoing investments, the brewing site houses a state-of-the-art brewery. As always, it draws the water for production from its own deep well.

Bottle, 5.2%. Roasted aroma, a little smelly feet. Clear brown colour. Very small tan head. The flavour starts off OK roasted, but not too exciting. There is a little sourness in there, weakly lactic, perhaps vinous or something.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear golden deep amber with a small off-white head. Roasted malt, light cardboardish and quite dry aroma. Mild sweetness to an otherwise dry and roasted malt based brew. Towards breadish. Light roasted finish with a dry and persisting malt presence.
