Pours a fairly hazy pale golden. Typical weizen head, big, white and quite compact. Shows good enough retention and scarce lacing. Average intensity in the aroma: fruitiness upfront (lemon, lighter banana and melon), rather strong bubblegum, a dough-like background, the slightest hint of spiciness. Taste notes follow the aroma closely. It's a chewy bubblegum and fruity oriented hefe, with moderate spiciness. Pretty sweet as obvious, probably a bit more than style average. Light to medium bodied with average to high carbonation, maybe a tad lower in carbonation than usual per style. Overall a quite smooth mouthfeel. Not exactly my ideal example of the style, but still fine.

Bottle (from Die Bierothek). Golden colour, mediumsized white foamy head. Aroma is grassy, some herbal, mild floral and earthy tones with some grains to it. Flavour is grainy, some herbal and some earthy and hayish tones. Nicely balanced and crisp.

50cl Fles van Bierothek Bamberg. Mistig gouden kleur, witte kraag. Citroen, citroenschil, verbena, crackers, hint van vers witbrood, citroensorbet, licht grassig, bitter, redelijk droog en verfrissend. Lichte body. Precies in m'n straatje dit.

50cl Fles van Bierothek Bamberg. Troebelgele kleur, romige witte kraag. Heerlijke bananenmilkshakegeur, redelijk zoet, heel licht kruidig, in de smaak meer citroen en tarwe, banaan, lichtbittere finish. Lichte body, glad, romig. Goed.
