Bottled. An unclear dark golden beer with a huge white head. The aroma has notes of wheat and butter. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, butter, and wheat, leading to a dry wheaty finish. The butter makes it cloying.

Bottle. It pours a quite clear body, golden in color and with a dense, off-white to white head. Finger-thick. Buttery nose with banana, cloves and some maltyness, not very pleasant. The flavor is equally buttery, making it quite unpleasant. Banana, cloves and some wheat as well. Not much bitterness going on at any stage. Medium body, pleasant carbonation. Not my choice of weissbier, that’s for sure. 120217

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are butter, butter and more butter, but also some wheat malt and hops.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts mild but not washy, fine malty, modest sweet. Wonderful notes of caramel. Well balanced finish, fine spicy-sweet. Really good!

(bottle) Slightly hazy, deep golden to amber colour with a big and slightly tanned foamy head. Cara-malty, slightly bready and delicately smoky aroma with present herbal hops. Bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Malt-accented taste with notes of caramel; dry-out effect towards the bitter hoppy and noticeable smoke-malty finish. Another well-crafted Rauchbier is always good news. 29.XII.11

(bottle; despite the info given on the brewers website the abv on the label is 5.0%, not 5.8%) Clear, deep golden to light-amber colour with a big and slightly off-white foamy head. Slightly bready and biscuity cara-malty aroma with a mildly hoppy background. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Cara-malt character with bready and herbal accents; moderately dry and mildly sweet malty finish with a present hoppy bitterness. Concerning the strict German Food Code, I think the abv on the label is right. 17.XII.11

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is grains, sweet malts, some mild alcohol as well as some earthyness. Flavour is sweet malts, grains and some mild alcohol sweetness. Not the most interesting beer.

Bottle looks very simple. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts malty-strong, modest dry background, fresh hoppy. Finish well balanced, still strong, some woody notes. Quite drinkable. Nice!
