Description
Horus Aged Ales is a 100% barrel aged brewery located in Oceanside, California. We believe in pushing the boundaries on how much beer can evolve through resting in oak by using a variety of different wine and spirit barrels, adding exotic fruits, and fermenting spontaneously. The complexity of the beer portrays our passion for experimentation and patience required to produce such a unique beverage. Horus has been a decade long dream that is finally coming true and we look forward to introducing our exclusive beer to the fine people of San Diego County.

4 oz dratt. Aroma of hazelnut is fantastic. Well in the flavor, they donโ€™t cheat you with the hazelnut. That mixed with a chocolate itโ€™s pretty rich. Wow! A Nutella donut isnโ€™t far off of this. A true dessert stout.

Draught at York River Landing, 11/24/23. Dark mahogany. Tan head to light cover. Earthy, almost vegetal with a coffee bean and dry hazelnut character. Not too much fruit, not sweet, very earthy and interesting. Funky house yeast character. Smells very small homebrewery in the best sense of the term. No booze. Acid, coffee, hazelnut, syrupy. Vegetal again, almost sherry-like. Nutty, juicy almost. Good body, not that big, but good attenuation. No booze. Lingering nuts and vegetal notes. Like the dryness.
