The name Pips is not only a nod to the seeds in fruits, but also to counting devices like the symbols on playing cards or the dots on a die. Though, most importantly, it is a nod to our son, Parker, who was born with special needs. Not knowing what his future holds, Pips will forever be a home to him as a family owned business.
We firmly believe in continuous improvement at Pips. We simply make what we enjoy drinking, and are beyond humbled when we can put a smile on even one other face as a result. That said, we actively seek out learning opportunities and always plan on listening to feedback from our customers. Every voice matters, for it is because of you that we are able to do what we love to do.
We thank you for your support and for joining us on this journey.

375mL bottle, undated, thanks to Chalumeaux. Drunk 8/3/24. Clear honey-bronze-brass. Big pineapple, vanilla and strong honey. Nothing too compelling and it seems to lack acidity to balance the sweet, juicy, fruity notes. Some pineapple acidity in the flavor but very sweet, sluggish, no lip-smacking, palate-clearing acidity like you get in the best meads. Rather sugary, pineapple-dominated, bit alcoholic. Not the best showing from Pips.

Rated at Ryyppyliiteri. Intense jammy blackcurrant and raspberry notes, sweet honey and hints of vanilla and maple syrup. Quite heavy and jammy. Super intense.

Sweet, tart, fruity. Boysenberries and blackberries, no raspberry. Some maple, honey, a bit of vanilla, intense but a bit murky. The cork crumbled when opening, seems a bit oxidized. Tasty but not meeting expectations.

I didn’t think something could be better the banana pancake. I was wrong 4.9 vs 5.0. Trying to start a discussion about the difference between 4.7, 4.8, 4.9 and 5. Not a popular chat

Bottle, shared by Cunningham/ChrisOfstad. It might have been purple some time, as C and CO says, but it's more of a murky brown now. Still, headless and oily. Pleasant alcohol scent, along with honey, fruityness and blue plums. A good dash of vanilla too, accentuating the fruit. It's full-bodied and lightly warming, oily and sweet, with a very light tannin. Honey, vanilla, sugar, hints of flowers and oak, and a nice fruityness in the flavor. Lasting sweet, fruity flavor with vanilla and a light warmth. Really delicious this one. It's too sweet in a way, but at the same time it works just fine as it is. 240627
