Bottle, 7.5%. Good malty aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Small off-white head. The flavour is very malty and slightly bready. Mild alcohol bitterness, but that suits the beer well enough.

Bottle. Pours hazy copper brown with airy beige head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel and yeast, with touches of hops. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt and yeast, with hoppy and roasty notes and touches of nuts. Roasty and caramellish aftertaste with estery notes. Okay but quite sweet.

0,33 l bottle from kappldav123. Thanks a lot, mate! Clear dark copper in the glass with a small fast fading one finger head. Herb medical smell. Taste is like cough drops, herbs, malt, sugar. Increasing bitterness in the second part. Better than expected.

"Altenauer Edelpils", 4,9 %, Fläschchen von REWE, Bad Sachsa. - Hellgelb, blank.

Bottle from the brewery. Looks good. Beer in the glass dark brown, nice small head. Fine spicy aroma with notes of some cough syrup. Starts fine spicy, notes of some herbs, light sweetness. Background hoppy-dry, shy bitter. Finish again with some medicine notes. Quite interesting!

Bottle from a local supermarket. Looks really good. Beer in the glass dark brown, nice head. Fine malty aroma with caramel hints. Starts fine malty, not as strong as exspected, light sweetish with woody hints. Also some caramel notes. Finish a bit drier, still well balanced. Quite drinkable for a doppelbock. Not bad.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing. Bottle looks good. Beer in the glass brownish, small head. Dry malty aroma. Starts mild, dry-malty, light spicy. A bit moldy. Finish well balanced. A bit boring.
