330ml bottle. Clear, mahogany colour with ruby shimmer and average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Sweet-ish, dark malty aroma, notes of malt lozenge, a minimally roasty touch. Taste is minimally dry, slightly roasty and minimally sweet dark malty, hints of malt lozenge, diluted hints of pumpernickel, slightly grassy hoppy overtones with a minimally metallic touch. Watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine and soft, still efficacious carbonation. Nice appearance, a bit anaemic and watery in taste - OK.

Altenauer Harzer Urstoff, Fläschchen von Edeka, Holle. - Hell goldbraun, trüb. - In der Nase etwas limonadige Frucht, Orange, süßlich-karamelliges helles Malz und vage Herbe. - Antrunk stumpf zuckersüß-karamelmalzig mit leicht ruppiger herbaler Herbe, Hefe und bitterer Orange. Milder rezent, etwas wäßrig. Im Abgang derbe herbale Bittere. - Unzureichender Versuch, auf den Landbier-Zug aufzuspringen, mit unrundem Malzkörper und ohne die knackig-aromatische Hopfung, die ein gutes Kellerbier auszeichnet.
