Sampled from the tap at ABR 2023. Pours a deep amber brown with a brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of bread, dark grains, a bit of roast and some chocolate underlying. Flavor has a bit of roast, dark grains and chocolate backing.

Sampled from the tap at Winterfest 2020. Pours a hazy peach with a slight orange hue and a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has some passionfruit and tart lemon with a bit of sweet wheat backing. Flavor has tart sweet passionfruit with earthy and sweet wheat backing.

Sampled from the tap at Minnesota Winterfest 2018. Pours a near clear amber orange with a tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has notes of bread and earthy grains with some ginger underlying. Flavor has earthy grains, a touch of ginger and orange peel with some bread underlying.

Sampled from the tap at All Pints North 2017. Pours a hazy gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a lot of straw and grain with light fruit and flora supporting. Flavor has grains, grass, and light fruits with some flora and straw underlying.

Winterfest 2017. This is a roggenbier. hazy brown color. Some wheat maybe? it reminds me of a dunkelweizen. Rye crackers in the flavor, some banana. Not getting smoked meat or smoke in any way. Good palate. A rare type of beer. Good.
