Description
Since 1663 the brewing trade has remained in direct family hands. The fathers always passed the art of brewing beer on to their sons. And that's still the case today! All the Georgs, Johanns and Leonhards brewed their beer here in Pahres with fresh water from the same brewery's own well. In the past also with self-grown Aischgründer hops.

The Hofmann brewery has grown to its present size under the leadership of Georg Hofmann and delivers its beer within a radius of up to 60 km from the brewery chimney. Since 1990 responsibility has been in the hands of Georg Hofmann.

Bottle, thanks pivnizub. Hayish nose. Golden, fine carbonation, off-white head. After the bland aroma surprisingly wellbalanced flavor - grain, light aromatic hops. Rapeseed retronasal. Medium body, chewy, wellagered - slightly sticky too though.

LCRBM 2009. The bottle looks simple but good. The beer in the glass light yellow, small head. Very yeasty aroma. Tastes very dry and dusty, light notes of banana. Finish more and more dry, very yeasty. Not my favourite.

Bottle, thanks Günther. Cloudy golden, huge head. Yeasty, light rubbery and slightly phenolic aroma. Candyish start, light fermented orangepeel, a bit banana, ciderish, strawberries retronasal. Medium body, falls a bit flat in the mouthfeel. Orange retronasal. Definitely deceptive.
