Description
Since 1663 the brewing trade has remained in direct family hands. The fathers always passed the art of brewing beer on to their sons. And that's still the case today! All the Georgs, Johanns and Leonhards brewed their beer here in Pahres with fresh water from the same brewery's own well. In the past also with self-grown Aischgründer hops.
The Hofmann brewery has grown to its present size under the leadership of Georg Hofmann and delivers its beer within a radius of up to 60 km from the brewery chimney. Since 1990 responsibility has been in the hands of Georg Hofmann.

(bottle) Hazy, golden colour with a rocky foamy white head. Sweet and moderately yeasty fruity aroma with notes of citrus, banana and apricots, combined with a vinous touch. Sourish and slightly sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a lively carbonation. Wheaty, slightly cara-malty and vinous fruity taste; sourish fruity and slightly tart finish with a well-embedded warming alcoholic note. Pleasant Weizenbock (12.VII.09).

Bottle: Golden to deep golden, hazy, lively carbonation, smaller loose off-white head; solid sweet-fruity and caramelly nose, completed by atouch of yeast and wheat and toasted malt; full bodied, almost oily texture, but a bit fizzy, solid sweet flavour, not cloying, accompanied by a light acidity; a touch of warming alcohol is detectable in the solid sweet-fruity and wheaty finish. Extremely moreish and deceptive.........

Bottle, thanks pivnizub! Holden, fine carbonation, rocky ceamy head. Wonderfull hayish and flowery nose, like being next to a wild meadow. Good balance - crunchy malt, honey and a nice aromatic hop profile. Just well done.
