Bottle: Golden coloured, mid-sized, a bit lacing white head; shy, clear aroma: a bit of everything, sweet-malt, honey, hops, wood; solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium-bodied; subtle fruitiness in the malty, bitter finish. A "shy", but good Bock with well hidden alcohol........

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a short frothy white head. Slightly sweet malty, grainy aroma with a tinge of honey and herbal hops. Bitter flavour, light to medium body, crispy carbonated mouthfeel. Initially moderately sweet malty with aromatic herbal hops; lasting dry and bitter hoppy finish. Tasty and refreshing classy German Pilsener.

(bottle) Clear, chestnut brown colour with a short foamy beige head. Shy aroma of toasted malt and caramel. Moderately sweet and thin malty taste, also slightly toasted with a touch of caramel; very dense hoppy and light bitter finish. Rather disappointing Landbier.

A light yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is slightly dusty combined with light notes of honey and hops. The flavor is sweet malty and very hoppy, which gives it a lovely bitter end.

Wenig würziger Antrunk, hier noch leicht süß. Später wird das Bier herber, die Süße verschwindet und tritt nur noch in Bezug auf den Alkohol hervor. Eine Entwicklung findet nicht statt, typische Bockbiernoten bleiben aus. Ziemlich monotones und mildes Bockbier. 9/8/7/8/8/8

Mild malziger, später aber stark würzig-herber Antrunk, in dem das Malz die Hauptrolle spielt. Der Alkohol ist in Auszügen erkenbar und hinterläst kurzzeitig eine klebrig-süße Note im Hintergrund. Würziger Abgang mit süßer und starker Malznote, wenig herb. Nussig-getreidig, der Hopfen wird nur mit einer blumigen Beinote erwähnt. 9/8/8/9/10/9

Bottle (Landbierparadies): Light amber coloured, quite stable off-white head; malty nose, caramel and "a taste of honey"; slightly sweetish malty flavour,with a faint touch of bitterness, a bit sticky; sweetish malty, caramelly finish with a touch of roasted malts, only an illusion of bitterness. Not so well balanced, a bit too much on the sweet side................

Bottle (from the Landbierparadies, Nürnberg): Big firm white head, dark amber coloured; sweet dark malts in the nose, a tinge of dried fruit (raisins) and a distinct touch of hops; bitter-sweet flavour; finish begins (dark-)malty, later drier with a moderate aromatic hoppiness; very pleasant, very well balanced and rounded franconian Bock; needed a bigger audience..............

Noch schlechter als das Landbier dunkel ist das Pils. Der Anfang ist wässrig, der Mittelteil viel zu bitter, der Nachgeschmack nur mittelhopfig und säuerlich. Diese Brauerei sollte an ihrem Rezept feilen. Test vom 16.11.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,7,7,7,6,7 - 6,95
