Bottle courtesy of Timo. Clear golden pour. Honey & raisin nose. Light minerals & fairly hot alcohol. Sweet & oxidized fruity taste. Round & tiny oily mouthfeel. Solid stuff. Very raisin heavy. PX sherry. Cool mead.

Barrel pour, thanks Mike! Pours clear golden apple, no head, no lacing. Aroma is huge honey, dessert wildflower honey, a bit of an herbal bite, oak and hints of chocolate. Flavor is quite sweet, decadent, pungent honey, really nice.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours rosé with a slight, transient white head. Aroma is cherry, and it’s not tart cherry. Med minus body. Flavor is black cherry, and there’s a moment of tartness, then it goes sweet, and then the result is like sweet tarts. It’s not dry, but it’s not sticky sweet, and it is just a bit tart - which makes it like a bitter drink, sort of. Liking it a lot for pool time.

Sample at the Meadery. Dark brown pour with some red around the edges. Medium foamy tan body that diminishes steadily. Spotty lacing. Aroma of roast malt, honey and fruit. Medium body with flavors of roasted malt, coffee and red fruit. The finish is roasty with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.
