Bottle (purchased at the Brauereigasthof): Big creamy, lasting white head, lively carbonation, golden coloured, malty-bisquity nose with a firm hayish-hoppy background; solid sweet-bitter flavour, soft MF, medium bodied; robust, lingering hoppy-bisquity finish with a tinge of alcohol in the bitter aftertaste. Good, hoppy franconian stuff..........

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a beautiful, slowly lacing blond foamy head. Citrus-fruity and slightly herbal hoppy nose with moderately sweet strawy malt and a tinge of honey. Sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Solid, a bit honey-fruity malty base with a balanced bitter hoppy and herbal touch from the beginning; well-rounded sweet-bitter and quite lasting finish with aromatic herbal hoppy accents. Quaffable pale Bock.

Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is malts, some alcohol and nice grassyness. Flavourwise it’s quite the same, which makes a very drinkable bockbier.

Bottled, Privatbrauerei Schuhmann Bischberg Sonnen Bock, alc. 6.8 %
Golden color, steady white head. Nicely hoppy, grassy aroma. Sweetish, malty, some grassy hops. Quite tasty. Grassy, bitterish finish. After sampling some 15 German bocks in two days, this one is quite good one among them. Very balanced.

Pale yellow color, small white head. Light malty aroma with notes of citrus. Grassy, malty brew with some citrusy esters. Estery, but a bit boring helles.

Bottle (bought at the brewery): Straw golden coloured, thin foamy layer, quite stable; aroma: shy floral hops mixed with sweet malt and some citrousy notes; sweetish-citrousy-bitter flavour, smooth MF; soft, but distinctive aromatic bitter-sweet-fruity finish, becoming drier and more bitter in the aftertaste. A pleasant one..............
