Brown with a tall, frothy head that lingers. Aroma of smoke, roasted grains, caramel. Harmonious. Taste is bittersweet up front, a melding of graininess and caramel sweetness, turning mildly bitter at the end and finishing with a mild, oily smokiness. Medium bodied, mild oily notes at the end and over a watery texture up front. Really liking this one.

Pale gold with a frothy white head. Full of cereal. Bread. Herbs. Light bodied with a mild bitter. Slightly watery texture. A touch bland. Drinkable .. especially in scenic Bamberg.

Das Sonnen-Pils der Hausbrauerei zur Sonne, Flasche von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin. - Goldgelb, klar. (7.12.2019.)

Bottled at Zum Franziskaner, Stockholm. Clear golden, mid sized head. Grassy, bready nose. Dry and solid. Grass and bread. Mildly peppery. Like a more potent pilsener. Dangerously drinkable.
