About
Beers Brewed With Neighborhood Funk

At Resident Culture, the concepts of subtlety and nuance are heralded, particularly with regards to our lager beer, mixed culture and spontaneous offerings. Our coolship program reminds us daily of our obsession with a hyper sense of place that inspired us to transform an old family warehouse into a space that, first and foremost, serves our neighbors. We also have a genuine appreciation for assertive, hop-forward styles and strive to accentuate the character and quality of our farmers' harvest. We take our beer seriously, but most importantly, we value the relationships and family culture we have cultivated at the brewery. We are proud to have an incredibly tight-knit crew, all of whom play an important role in creating the brewery we have become. At the end of the day, it's beer that we make, but it's our community and the taking care of each other that makes the foundation we're built upon.

Tall glass from can. Nice foamy head over a hazy IPA body. A lot of citrus and tartness in the nose of the foam, which I don't normally find. Taste is filled with hoppy citrus flavor. Mild resiny hop and a bright malt flavor. Considering how few hazies I gravitate toward, they usually turn out to be very nice.

Not sure what’s happened here, but there’s a disproportional amount of red fruit tartness on top of everything; coconut and chocolate are apparent, as is a gentle vanilla undertone, but it’s impossible to look past that sharp tang overshadowing the rest of the pint. Rough going.

Tavour: pours black with beige head. Aroma is loads of coffee, allspice, chocolate. Taste is quite sweet, loads of spice. Kind of excessive. Coffee is pretty nice.

Bitter ass finish. Golden clear pour with decent head. Actually tastes west coast. Good malt backbone. Grapefruit and pineapple. Tap at Snally.

Single from Appalachian. Pint glass @home. Murky, orange amber haze. Big off-white soda head. Spiced, fruity soda nose. Rye, bubblegum, banana, big dose of dried fruit. Sickly sweet. Apricot potpourri, black pepper, weak banana esters, acidic regurgitation. Dusty, faint grain, jokingly hinting at dry. Great flavors, just terribly sweet. Nah.
