Description
Beers Brewed With Neighborhood Funk
At Resident Culture, the concepts of subtlety and nuance are heralded, particularly with regards to our lager beer, mixed culture and spontaneous offerings. Our coolship program reminds us daily of our obsession with a hyper sense of place that inspired us to transform an old family warehouse into a space that, first and foremost, serves our neighbors. We also have a genuine appreciation for assertive, hop-forward styles and strive to accentuate the character and quality of our farmers' harvest. We take our beer seriously, but most importantly, we value the relationships and family culture we have cultivated at the brewery. We are proud to have an incredibly tight-knit crew, all of whom play an important role in creating the brewery we have become. At the end of the day, it's beer that we make, but it's our community and the taking care of each other that makes the foundation we're built upon.

16 oz can, pours an opaque peachy orange with a small white head. Aroma is bursting with fresh tropical fruits, especially guava and mango, with light citrus and some lacto. Flavour is almost like drinking juice, with loads of guava, mango and a little pineapple upfront, followed by moderate citrus, and a touch of lacto. Very pulpy. Juicy and highly drinkable. Very nice fruit drink.

Bottle from the source. Crystal clear bright yellow color small white head. Aroma of overripe stonefruit, dust, white pepper. Taste is softly sour mixed summer fruit, black pepper, light tannins and damp basement funk. This is the beer I've been patiently awaiting from these guys.

Can from the source courtesy of Wes, thanks! Cloudy to murky golden orange color small white head. Nice aroma of mango, pineapple, mixed tropical fruit. Taste starts sweet then lightly tart intense tropical fruit juice, pulp and all. Not very beery but pretty damned tasty

Draft at the source courtesy of mcberko, thanks! Crystal clear golden color, that was unexpected. Bready aroma with light butter. Taste is lightly buttery straw, but it seems to work in this beer

On tap at Resident Culture, pours a cloudy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out spicy farmhouse yeast and citrusy dry hopping. Flavour is along the same lines, with spicy farmhouse notes and earthy hops. Decently balanced, but it's a bit abrasive. Meh.

On tap at Resident Culture, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out citrus hops, yeast and toasted biscuity malt. Flavour brings out a nice piney hop character, with citrus zest, some champagne must, and a touch of diacetyl. Musty and zesty, with a decent hop character—but could use cleaning up of the diacetyl.

On tap at Resident Culture, pours a cloudy peachy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out pithy tropical fruits, light pine, and yeast. Flavour is fairly fruity, with pithy stone fruits, piney hops and bready malt. Nice use of fruit, but it could be more cohesive. Okay.
