Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass very dark, almost black. Starts strong. but not alcoholic. Some caramel notes in the background, modest sweet. Also some mild coffee notes. Finish well balanced, a bit warming, quite drinkable for a bock. Really liked it!

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Dark, huge head. Starts malty and dry, not too roasty, Spicy notes, also a bit rusty-earthy. Finish milder. Not bad!

Bottled (from mein-biershop.de). Deep rubyish brown colour with mediumsized beige head. Aroma is caramel malts, some mild earthy and mouldy notes along with some mild spices. Flavour is caramel malts, some mild raisins, sweet malts as well as some mild notes of hops and yeast. A quite balanced brew, but a bit strange.

Bottle: Pale greenish-golden, medium-sized white fluffy head; grainy-strawy nose with a light acidity; moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, light bodied, sticky MF; shorter sweet-bitter finish with a tart bitterness in the aftertaste. Not moreish....

Bottled (BZ, alc. 5.4%, BB 11/2010)
Clear deep nut brown color, small beige head. Aroma of grass, cardboard, toasted bread. Medium-bodied. Very (too) grassy hops, roasted malts, caramel and metal with unclean yeasty notes. Bready finish. I am not a big fan of this kind of dark German lagers.

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond and fluffy foamy head. Pale malty and slightly strawy aroma with citrus-fruity and slightly herbal aroma hops. Slightly sweet flavour with a tinge of bitterness, light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Pale malt-character, slightly strawy and doughy taste with citric and slightly herbal hops; moderately sweet mildly malt-accented finish with citric and slightly hop bitter elements. A clean and fine Helles. 20.VIII.10

Bottled. An amber beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of caramel and a bit of lemon. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of lemon, leading to a dry lemony finish. Thanks fonefan for sharing.
