On tap at brewery. Rating number 6,500 and New Jersey beer rating number 1,750! Jet black pour. Creamy tan ring. Rich, roasted malt aroma hints at bittersweet chocolate. Flavor mirrors nose. Added notes of molasses and me espresso. Remarkably smooth for such a big brew.

12 ounce can. Number one with a bullet. Amber orange color. Frothy beige head. Subtle toasted malt aroma hints at pumpkin, cinnamon and allspice. Flavor upfront has bittersweet notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and vanilla. Toasted malt backbone balances the spiciness and hops. Some booziness in middle. Overall, not too sweet and somewhat drinkable.
