Description
We are tucked into the North Park Hill neighborhood in Denver, CO in a building dating back to the 1920s. The building was restored to house our 7 barrel brewhouse, on display in the taproom, and our 7 barrel fermentation tanks, housed in the basement. The building was home to many businesses prior to us- from a Piggly Wiggly (circa 1950s) to a coffin manufacturer (circa 1960s). We are happy to call it home to craft beer!

12 ounce tulip at the brewery - mostly clear amber pour - substantial, soapy, off-white lace - nose of dark bread, raisin, basement musty yeast character - medium body, creamy texture, low carbonation - bready malt, toasty earthiness, light dark fruit - back end has some light peppery and dusty yeast character - finish is a little too bitter and a little astringent, but it's pretty good.

Tulip at the brewery - hazy gold - thick, frothy lace - nose is moderately grassy, peppery - quite dry, moderately bitter, with some rustic and peppery phenolic character - pretty refreshing and dry considering it’s strength - a pretty nice Duvel clone, really.

Tulip at the brewery - I was a big fan of the first batch of this beer - the nice mix of traditional British maltiness combined with an American hop profile is still there, however, the hops are dampened a bit by the barrel, which is not necessarily a bad thing - whiskey and oak are pretty understated here, but certainly present - a tiny bit boozy - finish is fairly bitter - I do not like it as much as earlier iterations, but it’s still good.

12 ounce at the brewery - dark purple pour - nose and flavor is a nicely balanced mix of caramelized sugars, dark fruit, light acidity, moderate peppery phenolics and earthiness - candied cherries, plum, faint chocolate - complex and balanced, with well-masked alcohol - it’s tasty! - also, a full pour of this only costs 6.50 - learn something from this, other Denver breweries!

New style- Brown IPA
Quite a decent amount of hops but definitely tastes like a brown. Style name makes sense 🤣

12 ounce at the brewery - lightly hazy gold - full but soft carbonation - peppery as fuck - quite dry, spicy, moderately bitter - a bit of rustic, hay-like character - prominent ginger and pepper - dry and quite spicy - I’d argue overly so, but not bad.

12 ounce at the brewery - clear gold pour - flavors of honey, baked apples, white wine, booze - finish has a light acidity - not terribly complex, and pretty hot and boozy in the finish.
