Description
Bullfrog Brewery is a proudly independent and multiple award-winning craft microbrewery, brewpub, and eatery nestled comfortably in the vibrant heart of downtown Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Born of fortuitous circumstance and ambitious aspiration, we opened in August of 1996 with a committed 'focal on local' philosophy and a simple yet lofty goal ... to be the place that people need to spend time, to brew beers that people need to have in their life, to offer food that people need to eat, to offer live music that people need to hear, and to be the place that our beloved staff need to work. Bullfrog beers are renowned far and wide, especially our artfully-crafted, barrel-aged wild ales such as Le Roar Grrrz and Rood Bruin. Here at "The Frog," we celebrate life by creating outstanding and memorable beers, food, friendships, and moments.

Bottle shared by MrChopin. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a thin head that fades quickly. Aroma of bourbon, wood, glue, toasted notes and an earthy, vegetal finish. The taste is bourbon, caramel, sweet sugar, apples, stone fruits and bubblegum. Medium-full bodied. Decent but the bourbon aging didnβt do this one any favors.

Bottle shared by MrChopin. End of the bottle so the pour was a bit of a murky brown. Tart earthy aroma, berries, stone fruits, toasted malts, must and grapes. Also smelled a pour from earlier in the bottle which was more caramel and raisin forward. The taste is cranberries, earthy notes, caramel and a bitter finish. Medium bodied. Decent.

Bottle number 438/467 thanks to errantnight. Pours with a massive, just off-white head with a clear golden hued body. Aromas are big time phenolic, punchy brett. Grape skins, dry, crisp, estery. Caramel and light waxy honey. Some coriander and citrus, pineapple, funk. Flavors of mellow strawberry, pungent brett phenolics, light wine notes, tartaric acid. Quite bitter and tannic in the finish with notes of ginger. Very lively bubbles, dry and light bodied. Elegant.
