Description
Bullfrog Brewery is a proudly independent and multiple award-winning craft microbrewery, brewpub, and eatery nestled comfortably in the vibrant heart of downtown Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Born of fortuitous circumstance and ambitious aspiration, we opened in August of 1996 with a committed 'focal on local' philosophy and a simple yet lofty goal ... to be the place that people need to spend time, to brew beers that people need to have in their life, to offer food that people need to eat, to offer live music that people need to hear, and to be the place that our beloved staff need to work. Bullfrog beers are renowned far and wide, especially our artfully-crafted, barrel-aged wild ales such as Le Roar Grrrz and Rood Bruin. Here at "The Frog," we celebrate life by creating outstanding and memorable beers, food, friendships, and moments.

Pulled out this dust bunny & took it to Chapel Hill. Had this on release day & again about a year ago but I wasn't in a note taking mood... till now.

Pale, unfiltered orange amber.
Sour cherry & old sock nose.
Heavy cordial cherry, watermelon soda, faint barnyard. Super subtle, low acid, lime leaf, mellow to medium tartness. Big bubbles, dried out some.

Not the best lambic ever but it aged so well.

It's an interesting mix of flavors in your nose. The hot peppers come through not so much on taste, but rather on smell.

Reds are always dicey... I know, because I am on. It's kinda flat but it's okay.

Sweet and sour. Tasty but tangy. It's really good.

It has the color of grapefruit juice and the flavor of a spiked cider. The color will throw you.

Notes from June 2009 On tap at the brewpub. Poured into a 10-12oz stemmed short flute. Pours out cloudy & turbulent. Quite a few of the beers seems unsettled(I saw someone changing out kegs an hour before the place opened). The color was a rusty mud. Off-white wisp of head. Scents of melon, bark, musk & some light spicing. It smelled really good, & I was awaiting something that tasted equally as great. The aroma was the better of the two though, leading up to a good bit of disappointment. Earthy, just a sharp flash of malt right at the beginning, bright bitter greens, grainy wheat-ish texture, & then dry. Very dry middle to end. It tasted like the bottom completely fermented out. I didn't get much of anything pleasant after half a second from the start. No real farmhouse elements past the smell. That & I guess the color didn't correspond to what I was drinking. I would of felt better of it if it was a lighter amber I was looking at. I drank my serving & quickly went back to the chalkboard for something else. Everyone else there seemed to think it was okay, maybe something else was on my mind at the time. ...
