0,5 l bottle from Graeff Getränke, Hamburg. BB 09/25. Clear dark copper in the glass, small one finger light beige head. Malty with metallic elements on the nose. Taste starts intensive malty, some nuts, bready, caramel, hints of wood. Mid bitterness.
Family BBQ: clear, golden color and a white head. Rather malty Taste, slightly sweet.Clean, crisp, and hoppy Finish.

Clear golden with a fluffy head. Hoppy, grainy, citrusy. Hoppy bitterness. Medium to light bodied, oily watery texture, soft carbonated, dry hoppy bittersweet finish. Average North German Pils, a bit boring.

Vom Fass, 50 cl. First rate in almost 6 years! Clear, dark amber colour with a golden tinge, thin white head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, light chocolate, some grassy notes. The taste is light sweet. Medium body. Slightly drying finish. Easygoing, worked fine with my Schnitzel.

Rostocker Export, Flasche von Getränkeland, HRO, verkostet im Direktvergleich mit dem Rostocker Pils. - Goldgelb, blank. - In der Nase weiche, milde zitronenschalige Hopfung und vielleicht gar ein Hauch von Honig (oder ist das nur Einbildung, von der Sortenbezeichnung Export evoziert?). - Im Antrunk runde, mild zitronige Hopfung über milder Malzsüße mit einer Andeutung von Vanillezucker. Etwas milder rezent, beinahe vollmundig, leicht trocken. Im Abgang milde, fast blasse zitronige Hopfung und nachklingende Süße. - Ein klassisches Export stelle ich mir zwar anders vor, mit griffigerem Malzkörper und aromatischerer Hopfung, dennoch war dies das angenehmste der heute verkosteten drei Rostocker Biere: runder und süffiger als das allzu billig gemachte Pils, und den Hopfenextrakt schmeckt man auch kaum heraus. Rostocker Zwickel, Flasche von Getränkeland, HRO, verkostet im Direktvergleich mit dem Rostocker Pils. - Als Bier Pilsener Brauart etikettiert, könnte man es für eine ungefilterte Variante des Rostocker Pils halten, aber die Verkostung sagt etwas anderes. - Goldgelb, trüb. - In der Nase runder und weicher als das derb krautig-zitronenschalig gehopfte Pils, freilich ebenso einfallslos. - Antrunk weich zitronig und mild hopfenherb, ganz leicht hefig. Feine Malzsüße, die zusammen mit der mild zitronigen Hopfung kurz an Limonade denken läßt. Milder rezent, schlank. Im Abgang fruchtig-mild und nur wenig bitter. - Nicht sehr anspruchsvoll aber doch spürbar runder und süffiger als das derbe Rostocker Pils. Laut Etikett wurde hier auch auf Hopfenextrakt verzichtet, und das schmeckt man. (23.4.2024.)

Bottle, 4.9%. Yeasty aroma, rough hops and metal. Cloudy yellow colour. Ok stable frothy white head. The flavour is light and yeasty with a mild note of white bread. Light-flavoured but not too thin. Ok mouthfeel. Low to medium bitterness.
