Sample at the brewpub. Brown-black pour with a medium frothy light beige head that diminishes gradually to a dense film. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, coffee and chocolate. Light-bodied with flavors of roasted malt, coffee and bittersweet chocolate. The finish is roasty with a coffee and malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

5 oz. pour on tap at the brewery as part of a flight. Deeply hazy yellow, greenish tinge, nice head, excellent retention, nice lacing. Aroma is strong bread crust, hint of hops. Taste is strong, dry bread crust, bittering hops. Frothy, thin, finish as taste.

5 oz. pour on tap part of a flight at brewery. Deeply hazy dark yellow, greenish tinge, thin head, fair retention, nice lacing. Aroma is scalliony herb, citrus.Taste is citrus, late milder scalliony herb, yeast. Smooth, frothy, soft carbonation & dry finish as taste. Not getting the mango and pineapple.
