Pours very dark brown with a large fading head.Nose shows a bit of roast and nutty malt, some bready hints too.Flavours include more gentle roasted malt with a hint a coffee, decent whack of rye bread and a bit of caramel.

On tap@ Darwin Hilton. Cloudy amber beer with thin but lasting white head. Laces well. Fruity, grainy nose. Taste follows the nose. Excellent Kolsch, true to style. Finish has fruit, cream, grain and a little sherbet zing. Good quaffer.

Schooner @ The Precinct, Darwin. Smoky caramel malt nose, even toffee. Mahogany red beer with thin lasting head, good lacing. Fine steady carbonation. Still, smoky mouthfeel. Dark toffee caramel finish. Some cocoa. Nice beer, a bit light in the body.

Schooner on tap@ The Precinct. Honey sweet nose. Hazy pale amber beer with fine carbonation and thin lasting head. Good lacing. Sweet and zingy in the mouth, a little hop bitterness then rockmelon finish. Decent quaffer, perfect for the NT climate.
