Dieses halbdunkle Bier aus der Hausbrauereikat mich wenig begeistert -besonders weil ich auch kein Fan dieses Bierstils bin. Es fehlt die Süffigkeit eines guten Hellen und wird durch eine maue Malzigkeit ergänzt.

getrunken im Mai 2018 Hier hat man sich an einen für Tschechien untypischen Bierstil gewagt und das belgische Original etwas an den Landesgeschmack angepasst. So sind die Gewürzaromen etwas schwächer und das Bier besticht durch seine frische Malzigkeit. Vielleicht kein Original, aber ganz gut.

Die "Pivovar Bašta" ist die Brauerei des Restaurants "U Bansethů", wobei die Brauerei selbst auch noch ein eigenes Lokal hat. Ich vermute, dass diese Aufteilung irgendwelche steuerlichen oder förderungstechnischen Gründe hat. Aber zum Bier. Ein sehr süffiges, angenehm zu trinkendes Helles, das natürlich unfiltriert und unpasteurisiert ist. Passt gut als frisches Feierabendbier zu der böhmischen Küche des Hauses.

Tap at the source (as Polotmavy Bastuv Lezak 5% abv). Pours amber with beige head. Aroma is sweet, caramel, malt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, caramel, breadiness, malt. Finish has some dry hoppiness. Tap at the brewpub. Hazy golden-amber body with a lasting white head. Jammy aroma, apricot, malty, herbal, flowery, soft and quite pleasant. Flowery, mildly bitter taste, a bit juicy, tropical, herbal too, definitely balanced. Mild, pleasant lasting herbal bitterness. Very good single hop IPA.
