About
The beer is named after the Slavic god Radegast. This, the most popular brand of beer in Moravia and characterised by its bitterness, is brewed in the Nošovice brewery from the highest quality brewing ingredients from Moravia. It was first brewed in 1970. The brand has a strong and loyal following in Moravia and Silesia, but is also popular with beer lovers all over the Czech Republic.

Since 1999 the brewery is owned by Pilsner Urquell, which is, in turn, owned by Asahi Breweries.

Well worn 0.5l zidarka bottle from Albert Hypermarket Butovice.... hosting a crystal clear golden liquid pierced by lively carbonation, with a fairly lasting thick white head. The aroma.... WHOA... what?! The aroma actually HAS HOPS. Starts piney, moves towards citric, hints at dank, then returns to pine... before disappearing leaving a coconut undertone. Did they use... Sabro! SABRO IN A 1€/0.5l BEER?! Some piney-dank-citric American hop? Lean taste, coconut again, herbal touches, lean, empty finish with some bitterness. Whoa. Taste per buck, this is a fucking winner. Maybe the best off the shelf modern style macro attempt at a modern style in the country. If it wasn't as astringent in the finish, it would go up. Wow... hats off... Did not expect this.

0.5 l bottle. Thanks, Roni. Shared with Stanko. Clear golden, small off-white head. Grainy and herbal aroma, good balance. A metallic touch. Flavour is nicely herbal, light to moderate bitterness. Crisp, refreshing. Light, moderately lasting dry finish. Nice one.

Lahave (@ Albert, Arkády Pankrác): Clear, deep golden, slowly collapsing mid-sized white head, quite dry grassy-grainy nose, nevertheless with sweetish bready-malty spots; moderate to solid (for a Desítká !) bitter and mildly sweet flavour, light bodied, astonishingly soft; lingering dry bitter finish with balancing sweet pale malt in the aftertaste. Překvapení a české pivo číslo 1000! Neuvěřitelně! To je Radegast, ale to pivo se dá pít...

Lahev (@Albert, Arkády Pankrác): Golden, clear, small but stable and lacy white foamy layer, dryish grassy nose with minimalistic herbal-hayish traces; moderate dryish bitter flavour, soft but watery; some balancing sweet malt in the astonishingly slightly lingering bitter-grassy finish. Surely not the best Desítká...

Not bad, hopped up like a czech pils. Clean, crisp, a bit darker in color, fuller body. Bar Panda Prague
