Description
The beer is named after the Slavic god Radegast. This, the most popular brand of beer in Moravia and characterised by its bitterness, is brewed in the Nošovice brewery from the highest quality brewing ingredients from Moravia. It was first brewed in 1970. The brand has a strong and loyal following in Moravia and Silesia, but is also popular with beer lovers all over the Czech Republic.

Since 1999 the brewery is owned by Pilsner Urquell, which is, in turn, owned by Asahi Breweries.

RBESG ’12, Bratislava. On tap at Bratislavsky Mestiansky Pivovar. Still processing the hangover at this point. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, floral. Flavour is sweet, malty, light metallic, watery, carbonation-bitter finish. Not bad for what it is.

Clear golden to copper colour. Medium white head. Aroma caramel, honey, biscuits. Taste definitely not extra bitter, as the name states. Medium sweet, light to medium bitter. Barley. Hints (literally) of hops. Finish is light bitter, light sweet. Drinkable, not bad.

Bottle. Dark golden color with huge white head. Aroma of malt, grain, bitter hops. Taste starts sweet malty, caramel, continues with bitter hops. Nice long bitter finish. Not extra bitter as is written on label, but nice bitter beer, which reminds me to old Radegast, I loved ages before.
