Description
The beer is named after the Slavic god Radegast. This, the most popular brand of beer in Moravia and characterised by its bitterness, is brewed in the Nošovice brewery from the highest quality brewing ingredients from Moravia. It was first brewed in 1970. The brand has a strong and loyal following in Moravia and Silesia, but is also popular with beer lovers all over the Czech Republic.

Since 1999 the brewery is owned by Pilsner Urquell, which is, in turn, owned by Asahi Breweries.

I expected so much more than it delivered. Some hops and malt in the aroma, but not enough of either. The best quality of the beer is the appearance; dark orange. Flavor is chemical, corn and barely noticeable hops. I initially rated while the beer was cold. As it warmed it became more flavorful. If I want a warm beer I probably wouldn’t choose a pils, but this one is better at higher temperatures.

A dark orange beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma is sweet hoppy. The flaovr is sweet and dry hoppy with light notes of caramel and light notes of grass in the end. The mouthfeel is a little sticky.

Bottle. Very mild sweet malt aroma. Yellow color with almost no head. Sweet malt flavor with only slight hops finish. A very light pilsener - don’t pick this ahead of Urquell and Budvar.

Pours a bright yellow with a white head. No real aroma. Flavor is a bit grassy and tart. Mostly its just bland and watery. With some Czech beers its either hit or miss. This one is a miss.

Can - Almost approaches a beer smell although the cornflake smell is predominant. Regular urine yellow color. Stale cornflake flavor but will give a point for slight hops bitterness at finish. Need to quit buying the no alcohol swills - never had one worthwhile.

Bottle. Roasted malt aroma. Medium yellow color with small head. Sweet-sour malt taste with a light hops finish. Maybe a bit too sweet for some but I really like this beer - very pleasant with a nice balanced flavor.

Can, close to best before Golden low head. Dusty fading hops, spongy malt. I think it was past its prime, I guess I have to go to the Czech Rep. and try it fresh.... Surprisingly full body considering the strength. Milk aftertaste.
