Description
The beer is named after the Slavic god Radegast. This, the most popular brand of beer in Moravia and characterised by its bitterness, is brewed in the Nošovice brewery from the highest quality brewing ingredients from Moravia. It was first brewed in 1970. The brand has a strong and loyal following in Moravia and Silesia, but is also popular with beer lovers all over the Czech Republic.
Since 1999 the brewery is owned by Pilsner Urquell, which is, in turn, owned by Asahi Breweries.

(50 cl can at the airport, Praha) Probably the most expensive beer I’ve seen in and around Prague! 170 Kcz for a can... Named "Radegast Premium Svetly Lezak". Labeled 5.0% ABV and 12 degrees. Clear golden color, small white head. Malty somewhat acidic and buttery scent. Acidic and grainy malty taste, a bit flat. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness. One of the worst beers of my 12 day trip through München, Plzen and Praha...

golden colour, medium-size head. Very hoppy and bitter indeed, but much better thatn Radegast Original. No malty flavours, only hoppy bitter flavours.

nice label, pale yellow colour, decent head. I don’t like the taste, however. I thought it tasted like bitter carbonated water. Very watery, just bitter, no malty or pleasant hoppy flavours to detect.

I like the design of thelabel, but that’s about it. Medium-golden colour, decent head. Not as bitter as other Radegast beers, this one is quite drinkable and well-balanced for an alcohol-free.

Test vom 3.11.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,8,9,4,6,7 - 7,25

Bottle: Golden coloured, medium-sized fluffy head, slowly diminishing; sweetish-worty nose, faint but distinctive traces of herbal bitterness; moderate sweet (worty) flavour, faint malty body detectable, mild MF, almost watery...Drinkable, but only a weak copy of a real Bohemian Pilsener. SABMiller rules.....

Bottle: Golden coloured, thin, firm white foam; cardboardy-malty nose with a faint "papery" bitterness; weak, but detectable sweet-bitter flavour, hardly detectable malty body...;short and light bitter-sweet finish. A disappointing Bohemian Pilsener, made of the cheapest ingredients.........

Canned. Yellow colour, small white bubbly head. Straw and hay in aroma. Malts, hops and some strange sweetness in flavour. Quite ok low-alco.

[Can] (BB 09/2006). Golden color, small white head. Grassy hoppy, hayish, lightly rubbery, cardboard malty aroma. Light, harsh, harsh bitter aftertaste, some n/a rubbery notes. Standard non-alco.
